Good questions.
Quick answers.
Here's what people usually ask before they bring their friends to Drop.
What is Drop?
Drop is a weekly way to make new friends as a group. You and one or two friends get matched with another duo or trio, and once a week one match turns into a real-life hangout. No endless swiping, no awkward solo meetups.
Where is Drop available?
We're opening city by city, starting where the most people join the waitlist. Join the waitlist and we'll email you as soon as Drop opens near you.
How does it work?
Every Sunday evening your group gets a Drop: five groups you could meet. Together you rank the ones you'd like to hang out with by Tuesday night. On Wednesday evening we reveal your match, then you chat with them in the app and plan a time and place that works for everyone.
Do I need to bring friends?
Yes, and that's the point. You join as a duo (2 people) or a trio (3 people), so you always walk in with your people. Duos meet other duos and trios meet other trios. Start a group, send an invite link to your friends, and you're set. A duo can grow into a trio any time.
What if my friends aren't ready to join yet?
Sign up for the waitlist and start a group when you're ready. Invites are just a link, and your friends can join in a few taps.
What if I don't get a match one week?
Matches happen when both groups are interested in each other, so sometimes a week passes without one. You'll get a fresh Drop the next Sunday, and there's nothing you need to do in the meantime.
Can I skip a week?
Absolutely. If your group doesn't rank anyone, you simply sit that week out and a new Drop shows up the following Sunday.
Is it safe to meet people through Drop?
Safety is built in. You always meet as a group, you see who you're meeting before you commit, and you can report or block anyone at any time. After every hangout there's a short check-in so we can follow up on anything that felt off. Choose a public place for your first meetup.
Do other groups see my contact info?
No. Other groups see your group name, photos and profile details. Your email address and phone number are never shared. You chat inside the app.
Can I leave a group?
Yes, any time and with no waiting period. You can start or join another group right away.
When can I get the app?
We're targeting our first Drop for Sunday, January 10, 2027. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it's your turn.
Do I have to sign up with my friends?
You join the waitlist yourself, but you're matched as a duo or trio, so invite your friends to sign up too. Everyone on the list gets their first roster at the same time.
